Abstract. Tail fat content affects meat quality and varies significantly among different breeds of sheep. Ghezel (fat-tailed) Zel (thin-tailed) are two important Iranian local sheep with patterns storage. The current study presents the transcriptome characterization tail using RNA sequencing in order to get a better comprehension molecular mechanism lipid storage mentioned breeds. Seven (Zel = 4 3) 7-month-old male lambs were used for this experiment. results analyzed bioinformatics methods, including differentially expressed genes (DEGs) identification, functional enrichment analysis, structural classification proteins, protein–protein interaction (PPI) network module analyses. Some DEGs, such as LIPG, SAA1, SOCS3, HIF-1α, especially IL-6, had close association metabolism. Furthermore, analysis revealed pathways associated deposition, “fatty acid metabolism”, biosynthesis” “HIF-1 signaling pathway”. proteins showed that major down-regulated DEGs breed classified under transporter class most them belonged solute carrier (SLC) families. In addition, transcription factor an role lipolysis up-regulated breed. Also, IL-6 JUNB hub PPI networks, HMGCS1, VPS35 VPS26A networks. Among gene seems play thin-tailed via various tumor necrosis (TNF) mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathways. Due probable also due strong other it accelerates degradation lipids cells.
